About

Born in Porto, Inês Pinto is a Portuguese soprano based in Berlin. Working as a freelancer, Inês has the opportunity to work on her own projects as “Mozart Gone High” with whom she had the opportunity to debut Queen of the Night in Berlin, a Lied Duo with Bahareh Ahmadi promoting Spanish/Portuguese and Swedish/Norwegian songs with whom she made her debut at the Berlied Festival 23’, and with “Im Frauenland Ensemble” promoting Portuguese and Kurt Weill Music.

Inês concluded her Bachelor in Opera Singing and her Master Degree in Music Education at the University of Évora under the guidance of Liliana Bizineche, a well-known Romanian Mezzo-soprano. During her Master degree, with only 23 years old, she was invited to teach as an Assistent Teacher at the same University in the Theater department.

She sang a lot of opera rolles as Juliet Brook and Sophie Brook (The Little Sweep by B. Britten), Barbarina (Le Nozze di Figaro by W. A. Mozart), Papagena (Die Zauberflöte by W.A. Mozart), Dido (Dido and Aeneas by H.Purcell), Amore (Orfeo Ed Euridice by C. W. Glück) and Cleopatra (Giulio Cesare by Handel).

As a soloist she also sang Gloria by John Rutter (Casa da Música, Oporto), Invitation to a Miracle by Joseph Martin (Casa da Música, Oporto) and Stabat Mater by Pergolesi (Convento dos Remédios, Évora and Academia de Ciências de Lisboa).

As a soloist choral singer she was chosen for the "Meesters&Gezellen" 2019 project were she had the opportunity to work with four singers of the Helsinki Chamber Choir and his director Nils Schweckendiek.In 2020 she was a bursary holder of both Bath Choral Society conducted by Shean Bowers and St.Mary’s Batwick choir conducted by Gary Desmond, in Bath, Uk.

In the 2021/2022 season, she had the opportunity to sing as a soloist Rutter’s Requiem in the UK, “The Swan of Pesaro” (a European project promoting Rossini’s music) in Portugal, Greece and Italy and was part of the Berlin Opera Academy 2022

In the 2022/2023 season she was part of the International Summer Opera Program, Tel Aviv, Israel (as a bolsery holder of Fundação GDA) and presented herself several times in Berlin with the Musikfürmusik Künstler Kollaborativ and with Im Frauenland Ensemble. ​

 

Currently, she is working privately with Abbie Furmansky. She also works with the renown repetiteurs as Ara Khachaturian, Kanako Nakagawa, Rui Rodrigues and Walewein Witten. ​

 

She teaches Singing in her private Studio in Berlin. ​​​    ​
